At SweetFreedom, we place great importance on making our website accessible to people with disabilities. We are committed to enabling convenient, equal, and respectful use for all users, to the greatest extent possible.
The Website serves as a community-based and research-oriented platform for sharing knowledge, updates, and activities related to Type 1 Diabetes. We make ongoing and reasonable efforts to ensure accessibility in accordance with accepted accessibility standards.
Website Accessibility
The Website is developed and maintained with efforts toward accessibility in accordance with the principles of Israeli Standard 5568, based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), while taking into account the nature of the Website, its content, and available resources.
As part of this effort, we have implemented, among other things, the following adjustments:
- Use of sufficient color contrast
- Ability to enlarge and reduce text size
- Clear and consistent navigation between pages
- Hierarchical structure of headings and content
- Addition of ALT descriptions for images where possible
- Basic keyboard navigation compatibility
- General compatibility with common screen readers
We continue to improve the Website’s accessibility as part of an ongoing process.
Potential Accessibility Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the Website may not yet be fully accessible, including:
- Older content uploaded in the past
- Files or documents in PDF format
- Video content or embedded content from external websites
We are working to reduce these gaps wherever possible and welcome feedback on the matter.
